oh what a fickle thing memory

I had believed for many years that the 
Albion Pub (see above) stood on the corner 
of Artist Street. The absence of the 
road sign on said hostelry led me to concur 
that some ne'er-do-well art student had 
filched it and stuck it on their mantlepiece. 

But then today, I consulted my Leeds A to Z (Edition 3) 
(see above) purchased at Austicks Map Centre on 
Cookridge Street and found it to be a little 
bit further along Armley Road - 
and there it was (see below) - still in place 
and innocent of any art student shennanigans.
